Guest, I'm not sure what you are missing. I am NOT trying to demonize liberals at all. "Progressives" is a term you have attempted to co-op for your own terms. Historically, in the U.S. at least, the term "progressive" has been linked to the labor movement AND the communist party. While I know that is not the case anymore, there is still a stigma that won't be overcome.

Look up the term "progressive" and you will see what the real definition is.   "Progressives" can exist on both sides of the political spectrum. The progressives on the right did make an impact in the republican party.

You are a liberal. Be proud of that.
