Actually, MG, as a point of fact, a concession speech is not legally binding. If the votes were recounted and showed that Kerry had won, then he would be the president-elect despite his concession. I'm not saying there's a snowball's chance in Hell of this, just that "Kerry quit" is meaningless.

There are currently 6 US congressmen pushing the GAO and the FBI to audit the votes in Ohio and Florida. I don't remember all their names (Nadler from NY is one), but you can be sure if there are 6 representatives concerned about this that they have many constituents concerned about it as well.

Keith Olbermann did his top story on Countdown about this last night. I think it is very likely that there is a gag order in many other media outlets from the corporate higher-ups. Remember, Donuel specifically pointed out that the journalists themselves are horrified; desire for a "scoop" comes from the newsroom. All the higher-ups care about is money, and if more money can be had with silence than with scoops, we'll get silence.
