That it is, Peter. I just watched a special, ont he Learning Channel, I think, the other night, called Ghost Waters. While treated a bit dramatically, they did tell one story about the wife of a Confederate soldier. He was being held in prison, during the war, on an island off the coast of Boston. She disguised herself as a Union soldier, made her way to him. They would have been fine, were well on their way to getting free, but they wanted to set some charges to destroy the prison, on their way out. They were caught, she grabbed an officer's gun. In the struggle she accidentally killed her husband and, she was later hung on the island, for his murder. Talk about the ultimate price of irony. Obviously she did love him very much. She begged them not to hang her in the Union soldier outfit, so allowed her to wear a long black cape. It is said that she haunts the place forever in the cape.
