For my Father's brothers, Uncle Eck and Uncle Geordie, still in their teens to this day, lying on the Somme battlefield since 1916 ["Lions led by donkeys"]. For my Friend, Sam Nesbitt,died in the Po valley, 1945, the last week of the war [ a "D-day Dodger"] . For all the other thousands of young men and women who gave their lives in following orders. And for all the millions who perished or have been maimed thro' Man's inhumanity to man. May the day arrive which gives meaning to the words "They did not suffer in vain".
