My MC habits have changed quite a bit over the last few months. Because of the amount of anger, baiting and general rabble rousing that is now such a large part of the threads "below the line," I rarely even skim them. And when I do glance at them, there are certain mudcatters I look for. Some names I recognise as frequant posters that usually have something of value to say, and then I read them. Other names I also recognize as people who have NOTHING of value for me, and then I quit the thread. It's rare that I will engage in a thread that has been posted to by a "guest."
