I interview people all the time and as one (what is laughingly called) professional to another, that was a good interview for such a short telephone one. You covered a lot of ground. She seemd very willing to really think about an answer rather than turn on that tape recorder people who get interviewed a lot have in their heads and play back the answer that seems closest to your question.

Thanks for posting it for us to read.

I saw PP&M at the Kennedy Center in DC about fifteen years ago. It was a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Peace Corps and the audience was filled with committed people who had put aside a part of their life to make a difference in the lives of others. The audience and the trio were a love match. The one couldn't get enough of the other.

And then Sweet Honey in the Rock came out to sing. I had never even heard of them before. Berneice Regan, with her mouth that opens like the bell of a trumpet, was glorious.

I will bet that although PP&M have given thousands of concerts, they remember that one. I know that the 2500 or so people at the Kennedy Center certainly do.
