Your Mudcat Reporter: Since Rick is not exactly a publicity hound, Mudcatters should know that RF gave a terrific concert last night, courtesy of the Acoustic Harvest, at Birchcliff United Church in Toronto's East End, to launch his new album for Borealis records. The place was packed out -- and I mean packed out (half the staff spent the evening trying to find more seating for people) and Rick's co-conspirators, Greg Monk, Curly Boy Stubbs, Grit Laskin, and others hi and lo-jinked their way through the evening. Rick plugged Mudcat, and played "Catspaw's Rag" (we got to see Curly Boy playing the ukelele!!). Mudcatter Tony Burns and I chatted about trees and I got to meet Mudcatter Davey at last. Elegance and charm were provided as ever by the inestimable Duckboots. Mudcatter's night out!
