I definitely vote for keeping the format as-is: KISS ("Keep It Simple, Stupid!").

It is definitely easier to scan through Mudcat, quickly read a lot of stuff, decide what deserves a closer look, etc., than it is to deal with most other (newer format) online forums I see.
