I have had mice in the trap 3 nights in a row now. You're right, Jeri; I should have tagged the little buggers somehow. At present, I have no idea if I have a very capable homing mouse or a whole herd of mice in my house. I took the one this morning farther away--a couple of miles--& will rebait the trap tonight. If this goes on much longer, I'm afraid I may have to consider the less humane approaches. Talked to my sister in Maine tonight. She has mice, too, & has been catching them in a humane trap & releasing them in her backyard. I suggested that they are probably the same ones, making return appearances. She was disappointed to hear that.
