First off, its not easy to write a hit. Try it sometime.

Secondly BI is right, its the all pervasive nature of the pop pap, that gets to you. And there simply aren't any stations that play the kind of stuff Mudcat readers wax lyrical about. When someone is entrusted to play such music for an hour a week, we end up with Great Tossers of Good taste of our Time plus what the record companies are giving away free last week - usually some bloody has been with plans to trundle out on the Cambridge main stage next year.

I have said before that somehow we must band together and do something like the Performance Channel for our music. the logistics of this I'm not sure of, but our day will come.
