Morning all!

Well, I broadcast on my own for the first time last night because Chris is ill (get well soon Chris!!). A slightly stressful yet still enjoyable experience and I apologise for; the constant clattering of CD cases, crashing of tracks into each other(I was working the machines by instinct rather than experience) and moving away from the mic when I was talking. It's always interesting trying to learn on the job!

Here's the playlist:

Tarras - Parsons Green
from Rising (Topic)

A.L. Lloyd - The Drunken Maidens
From English Drinking Songs (Topic)

Belshazzars Feast – Old Simon the King
From Mr Kynaston's Famous Dance (Wild Goose)

The Witches of Elswick – I Once Lived in Service
From Out of Bed (Fellside)

FLOOR SPOT – Fernhill – grey cock
from hynt (Beautiful Jo)

Nancy Kerr & James Fagan: Dance to Your Daddy/The Flaming Drones
from onreflection (Mrs Casey Records)

FLOOR SPOT – Julie Murphy – Fighting for Strangers
from Lilac Tree (Beautiful Jo)

John Spiers and Jon Boden – Red Kites
from Through and Through (Fellside)

FLOOR SPOT– Julie Murphy – Two Sisters
from – Black Mountains Revisited (Beautiful Jo)

Elza Carthy – Red Rice
from Red (Topic)

All this info and a bit more is on www.coolasfolk.co.uk and you can email us at folkontheradio@hotmail.com because I think I managed to not mention either last night!

No 'Random Noises' this week for obvious reasons. I'm sure Chris will be better for next week.
