Just another thought - If it is not the monitor, cable or drivers your are down to the card. The Presario SR1030NX hs an on-board 64Mb graphics card. I have never been happy with on board cards as they never seem to perform as well as the seperate ones. On checking I find this box does have an AGP expansion slot (Some HP ones didn't believe it or not!). I would recommend putting a 128Mb GeForce in anyway. In the UK you can get them from around 30 quid now - Probably less in the States.
