Art and Uncle DaveO, We keep having the same problem. With a NEW CD player. The CDs don't actually quit though. They just hiccup fairly often but keep going.

Just got me a digital recorder to record, among other things, frog calls and I can't believe how complicated the thing is. Teeney buttons, that you can't see even in the bright light, let alone out in the swamp in the dark. And you can't just press a button anyway. I really, really want equipment that has simple "on" "off" "play" and "rewind" buttons. AND I don't need it telling me "Hello" and "Goodbye".
How long will it be before I can't work a fridge any more? Sigh! Cheery-bye, Joy
