I had one CD Player (home system....not a boom box type) that starting hiccupping on a regular basis. Cleaning the discs didn't work, so I bought another for around $59 US dollars. Works better than the more expensive one I had previously. I think that "throw away" is the theme of the day. I had a cassette deck that lasted 22 years. I've had 3 since then (in the past 7 years )!
