Our first car was a mini, about 1975, great for parking, poor for carrying passengers and luggage and you feel very low down and intimidated by other larger road users, especially on motorways. I now drive a Ka after several Metros, and though it is also poor for luggage and passengers (I usually only carry me & one other, we use Sheila's Fiesta for holidays etc) it is very nippy, so far reliable (6 years now) and you don't feel so vulnerable. IMHO.
