I had a friend whose grandma used to rent out the cabin on the extended-family farm compound, to the hunters. Charged them up the wazoo for "atmosphere" and fed 'em on cheap ham steaks and homemade pie. Whole family would make out like bandits, especially my friend-- who would perch in her bedroom window each dawn nailing the bucks the yayhoos would inadvertently drive down to her window each morning. Yayhoos make a lot of racket "stalking." :~) Being on private farmland, and having a farm anti-depredation permit to protect the corn, she didn't need a per-deer license, either, so her family ate real well each year!
