Window envelopes! I hate friggin' window envelopes!

Specifically, I hate companies that send you a window envelope in which to send your remittance. I hate them because you have to make sure that the little remittance cards that they also send you are correctly oriented in the envelopes or the address doesn't show.

I could understand it if they were trying to save a few bucks by using generic envelopes, but they're not. They've gone to the expense of having envelopes printed, so why not just have regular envelopes printed with their addresses on them? After all, it's not like my payment is going to one address and my neighbor's is going someplace else. They're all going to the same friggin' place!

I think it's all just a conspiracy to cause customers to incur late charges. There are four possible ways you can put the remittance card in the envelope, and only one of them is the correct way. If you put it the wrong way, you'll receive the thing back from the post office as undeliverable in about a week. By then, your payment will be past due.
