Subject: RE: BS: Whats the Holes in CD's for then?
Holes are in the centre of our CDs so that extra laser light can be bled off the CD before it harms the information on it. The spinning of the disc pools the excess photons from the laser in the centre, where they are easily collected by the Tachyon Gremlins which reside in our CD players. They bale up the excess light bits and trade them to the Tachyon Sprites who live in our camera flash units in exchange for fingerprints collected off the bezels of the flash. It's a mutually satisfying trade arrangement, though it results in strangely appearing fingerprints on our CDs and red-eye effects on our photos, but that's just a couple of things we have to put up with in our technologically advanced world today.

Next question?
