Thread Name: Guide Cats for Xmas
Subject: Guide Cats for Xmas
This is a blatant commercial plug - for a very good cause.
Remember all the previous discussions of the Guide Cats CD (which I lawyered pro bono, MG if you are out there)?
If there is a mudelf about, could we please have a table at the head of this thread about previous mentions of BCAB (the British Computer Association of the Blind, the registered charity behind this?
Thanks to Clive Lever (Wild Rover) and Don Thompson (WYZIWIG), and the wonderful wonderful Les Barker poems on the Guide Cats CD (free use on the CD thanks to Les) and the many celebrities who gave their time and performances for nothing in a good cause.
Oh, and a brief mention to one famous naturalist who was the ONLY celebrity approached to be less than 100 percent supportive. His sense of humour failure meant the CD did not have a rendition of Spot the Zebra. Perhaps he lost his sense of humour when his brother got the big K the naturalist was expecting, but no names no packdrill. He just thought it wasn't funny. Sad man.
The others of you who have already heard the CD will know it is two hours or more of side-splitting humour - and ideal Xmas present for all those who need a laugh in their lives - and the Xmas special offer is too good to miss. My next post will be a paste of a special message from David Boden of BCAB. Please support generously.
