Sonnet 01/06/03                         DCCCXXVII

I place a kiss upon her back, where wings
Should be: My angel muse gives heart desire
To fold her in my arms. My passion sings
How beautiful she is, and heat of fire
Fill all my dreams with light. The touch of skin
Would capture all of soul, and I would give
All I possess, to her sweet, soft, smile win.
How can I show that she makes my dreams live?
Who knows what future holds, with thought of muse
To guide my dreams toward the source of light?
What path leads to her, and what are the clues
That might tell me how to do what is right?
I want to offer love, but do I dare?
What can I say, to show how much I care?
