My Grandfather used to say "Man plans. God laughs." You have my respect and admiration for actually going out there and doing something concrete to help. It occurs to me that you must now feel very torn – pulled in two (at least) directions, both of which are SO deserving (and in need of) anything you can give – and more.

Things are pretty tight for us financially at the moment, but I'm going to think about what we might be able to contribute.
