My Dublin husband sings along with his Orange songs, and Joe sings Rebel songs with gusto. They are best mates, and in THIS country, no-one needs to be worried if a song , with good music and good lyrics, has had a chequered path, or origin. How many Northern Irish Protestants sing Danny Boy with their heart, including the line...."and you will kneel and say an Ave there for me"....Joe nearly weeps when he sings that song.
