Its was a cold morning, the sky was grey and I was leaving to go into town befor moving slowly onto work just 15 minutes away from the town centre. I walked round town looking in the CD shops on the way. Slowly the mist cleared and the sun shone as I entered the last CD shop, I walked right to the back of the CD shop to look at the folk secion (where it usually is) I stopped dead, a warm feeling swelled inside me, I wanted to jump for joy, I shouted YES in my head. It was Carlos Nunezes new CD. I have seen him live, got his last CD and seen him lie twice his performances lifted me above the physicalities of life and felt what can best be described as a spirtual experience. Like people have to eat and drink to survive, I had to buy this CD and I did. It is amazing, no this is not an advertisement but i just feel that more people should check out this Galacian recorder and Gaita (spanish bagpipe) genius in action. One of the best things you can do is to listen to the music of Carlos.
