Sonnet 13/07/03                                DCCCXXXII

Sweet muse, you offer hope for love; Reason
To dream of heart's desires. How might I share
The joy knowing you brings? Is this season
To grow desires, and show how much I care?
Will you encourage dreams, with your sweet voice,
And words of verse? You know I wish to hold
Muse in my arms, but what would be your choice?
I shall in actions do what I am told.
I would see muse as clearly as I could,
And know your heart, and mine. I hope to find
Desires within your dreams, but my muse would
Be all: If only I might know your mind.
You are dear muse, a dream I hold as real:
How can mere words tell you how much I feel?
