We have a Rigid shop vac which will suck a golf ball through a garden hose. I've got all kinds of attachments for the furnace, the carpets (cats, dogs, human hair), the computer, my sanders. It performs very well and with long hoses you don't have to drag it around the house much. Downsides, it's BIG and LOUD. You really need to wear ear protection when using it. The cats hate it. Which really isn't a downside I guess. It's probably healthy to rock their smug little worlds now and then. Wait, anybody seen the guinea pig? E.S.
