Re: "The Butcher Boy" and other songs with common lyrics, Sylvia, of Ian & Sylvia, sang "Every Night When the Sun Goes In" on one of their recordings (Four Strong Winds) with the lyrics "I wish to the Lord my babe was born and sittin' on, sittin' on his daddy's knee, and me poor girl I wish I was dead and gone, with the green grass growin' over me."
