It probably isn't necessary to mention these three things:

1) That your event should attract the interest and support of folks in *your* community(no snow sculpture contests in Florida)

2)That you can pull off the event with the talents and skills of the folks you have on hand(without destroying their lives in the process)

3)That it doesn't cost you more than it earns
