the 'train wreck' effect is the reason why those musos who call themsleves a 'group', but refuse to practice as a group at all, insisting that they only need get up and perform, are only fooling themselves...

Of course, if you have a bunch of musos all of the same low level of limited talent, no one will try anything interesting, so it can work out....
