Brendan turned four yesterday { how time flies } and they tell us that he is mildly to moderatly autistic. So far no speech of any sort. He had about 15 words before he fell silent when he was about two. But he's never said mommy or daddy. So he gets OT and speech therapy every week. We'd LOVE to have the conversations you've had with Tristan. We'll get past this eventually - but now the road looks to be a long one. On the plus side he is slowly picking up some sign language. But he doesn't understand Christmas. So all I want for Christmas is some kind of miracle breakthrough. He's a healthy and happy little guy - we just wish he could talk. We're still counting our blessings. It could be worse - it's not cancer, MS or MD. We'll get by. Thanks for the update on Tristan.
