Peter T, with you on that one - we have no carpet at all upstairs, except in my daughter's room, and the landing, makes going for that midnight pee rather interesting, but a lot less gritty, because it all just goes down the cracks in the floorboards. The most we have is a big rug that serves as nothing more than a hair catcher...

Llanfair, we have two cats and a 3 1/2 year old daughter, it must be more than 3 years since any edible crumb has made it to the floor.....
