would that i like you had wings
while sneaky santa is a little slow
blinded bats will seek the place to go

and bring you a little something,
full of song
to ease your heart and bring some joy along

full of heart, but not art as i had hoped
yet never a singing sailor ever moped
for in your room with joyful singaround
will come new songs, to dazzle and confound
long may you laugh, and long may your ever sing

and may santa's recalcitrant bats be on the wing!
