5. Practicing noticing illogical statements and identifying WHY they don't make sense. Some examples:

•False information such as "peace is actually war because...."
•Altered chronology or sequence such as "we are still deciding whether or not to go to war...." or "I stopped drinking when I wa smuch younger..."
•Misassessment of importances (saying unimportant things are important, or vice-versa) such as:"The Consitution of the United States should be subordinated to the moral codes of one small segment of the United Statesbecause I am President."
•Wrong targets for effort, such as : "We are fighting a war against terrorism so we will invade Iraq."
•Omitted Data of importance such as "The real reason for asserting there are WMD in Iraq is...."
•Data included that is irrelevant, such as "Mission Accomplished....".

Find several examples of each of these different kinds of flaws in any newspaper on any given day. Repeat until it becomes natural to reject illogical assertions.
