Forgive me for pulling this thread back to seriousness, but I have a serious warning.Women, if you get migraines, be very careful about taking birth control pills; lay off them, or do some investigation into whether or not they are safe for you. The tendency to get complicated migraines carries a slight risk of stroke, and birth control pills carry a slight risk of stroke, but those two together have a stroke risk that is multiplied rather than just added.
The reason I bring this up is that my roommate had a devastating brain-stem stroke when she was only 19, and lost her ability to speak and move (except in her eyes, which is how she speaks now). She had a history of complicated migraine, and was on the pill, but she hadn't known that they were a deadly combination till after the fact.
To read more: she's written an autobiography called "Locked In: A Young Woman's Battle With Stroke" that can be bought at Chapters.
Take care, Marion
