I have some friends who emigrated to Oz 30 years ago. These days they won't even leave it for vacations. Be warned, though. Oz has more poisonous creatures - especially snakes - than any other place on earth. And then there's deadly spiders, deadly fish, deadly jellyfish, and deadly octopi. And the huge brush fires in the summer. Other than that, they tell me it's heaven.

For those who admire Robert A Heinlein, he hated New Zeland. But it's probably changed since he was there.
