All that holds a cap on to the point is glue. The question is, what kind of glue. I would avoid an epoxy, because you're gonna have to get the cap off again. You need somesort of adhesive that is nontoxic and will hold for a few days. Also, it has to be something you can get your hands on soon. Do you have any all-night hospitals where you are? They may have the phone number of a dentist who will see you right away, and you can get it done right by a pro.
