I had both shoulders diagnosed (separately - a year or two apart!) as 'frozen'.

The right one was 'released' with a cortisone shot - most of which spurted back out thru the injection hole! - followed by some gentle mobilisation work.

the left one just froze up later, and I had Shiatsu Massage - which took a little longer - but was less stressful.
