When it comes to environmental impact,there is a short-sighted view on the part of some business interests who value the bottom line over the health of citizens. Building on flood plains, attempting to dump nuclear waste in poor neighborhoods, contaminating lakes and rivers, removing regulation from protecting us from industrial pollution is a program of greed, and anti-social behavior masked by concern for the economy.

It is not in anyone's economic interest to poison the environment.
