CMT has an 8 part series, which started this past Tuesday.

FOUR STRONG WINDS
Four Strong Winds is an eight-part documentary series celebrating Canada's singer/songwriters and the impact they have had on the world of popular music. Shot on various locations such as pubs and record stores, the series covers Canada's wide range of musical genres, from Celtic, Rock, and Country to traditional French. The series features legends such as Hank Snow, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Gordon Lightfoot, and homegrown heroes Bryan Adams, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, Jann Arden, Avril Lavigne and Hawksley Workman.

Tuesdays at 9 PM ET/PT 10PM Atlantic, with repeats at 1AM and 4AM

Episode 1 - In the Blood
Tuesday January 4th at 9 PM ET/PT
The roots of Canadian music, from Aboriginal to Cajun, from Celtic to traditional French, featuring Buffy Sainte-Marie, Robbie Robertson, Daniel Lanois, Jimmy Rankin, and Derek Miller.

Episode 2 - Bound for Movin' On
Tuesday January 11th at 9 PM ET/PT
The country side of Canadian music takes us from the rolling hills of Alberta to the streets of promise in Music City U.S.A. Featuring Shania Twain, Hank Snow, Wilf Carter, Ian Tyson, and Paul Brandt.
