For those of you who want to move from hilarity to insanity at your parties may I suggest Musical Crackers. Take 8 vaguely musically minded lunatics and a box of the aforesaid crackers. In each one you will find a whistle that blows a single note, a badge with a number on it and the obligatory party hat and feeble joke. In the box there is also a baton for the conductor and sheet 'music' (a list of numbers). The conductor points at each number in turn and the person blows their whistle. You might even recognise the tune if you are very lucky. Add to this the odd bottle of wine, port , brandy etc etc and lunacy breaks out. And of course you can't blow your whistle if you are laughing, can you? If you see them about get some and give it a try. I've saved our whistles so just watch out at any festivals we happen to be at this year.....
