Yeah, I was at the 1964 Berkeley Folk Festival. Now let's see what the memory can dredge up.

Barry Olivier actually organized the Berkeley Folk Festivals in the first place, and he occasionally performed in some of them. Sam Hinton did one of the concerts, and as he had in previous Berkeley festivals (I also attended in '60 and '61), he moderated many of the forums (fora) and workshops. Performers and workshop participants included Doc Watson and his son Merle, Joan Baez, Alice Stuart (who got her start in Seattle and now resides here), Mississippi John Hurt, and Almeda Riddle. . . .   Charles Seeger and folklorist Archie Green were also there.

I believe there were a few others, but I'll have to think back, stir it a bit, and see what comes bubbling to the surface.
