" there already was a separate bar area" That was what I thought - so that "recent vote by the Church membership to ban the consumption of alcohol in main auditorium" would presumably have just meant, "people must not take their drinks back into the concert hall itself". And that is of course what the policy is in pretty well all concert halls, theatres or cinemas, as well as churches. (Together with a ban on smoking in the same places.)

So how would it have had this dramatic effect on the income of the operation? This is all sounding very fishy to me. I hope someone will be able to explain what is actually going on.
