I recall in Yellowstone -- the 1960s -- while hiking in the back country a Czech girl and a Swedish guy had paired off and gotten away from the group. Two griz with two cubs were surprised by them and both hikers were killed. The rescue party killed both bears eventually. The female bear, when opened contained the Swedish guy. They did not bother looking in the other bear because the knew the Czech was in the male! (rimshot)
