I think I started this thread because it seemed to me that it'd be   a travesty if any of these magnificent ceatures were in any zoo at all. They seem to demand the wilderness for their well being. And now that I realize that the Kodiak bear is the same as a grizzley, I remember that Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago where I spent a ton of my spare time while growing up always had a Kodiak bear or two. So I already knew the answer to my query. --- Anyhow, thanks again.
