guitar strings are like gasoline..different brands work better in some cars than in others. I used to use Martin Bluegrass on my old Gibson J-45, then I got talked into trying a set of Blue Steel. After tuning up, I took a pair of wire cutters and cut them off. Now, on my Taylor 810, I have tried different brands, and D'Addario bronze works best. They come on like gang busters, and they last a long time. (Wish I could find a wife like that)
