I have treated myself to a Sony MZ-NH1 and as I can transfer recordings from it to my PC I want to know if it is possible to transfer tapes from my Hi Fi to my MD. My HiFi has two outlets, headphones, and an optical one which seems to be for CDs only. Would it be possible to connect the headphone 'line out' to the MD 'line in', or 'mike line in' using a cable with the appropriate jack plags at either end? If not where do I go from here? If I can get them onto my PC I can burn them onto CD, and junk my tape deck, or at least store the tapes in the loft as they take up so much more room than CDs.
