Bobert, the song you've (bossy!) ordered KT to learn is "See That My Grave is Kept Clean," yes? Oh, and tell Eve I'd love it if she comes! If she can put up with that much folk music, and that many folk musicians.... (Poor Eve, she is no doubt going to be addressed as "P-vine" by everyone in sight....)
For Leadfingers, Bill S, anyone else who's traveling by air, as Pauline said someone will be glad to provide you with a sleeping bag, or pillows & blanket, etc. A lot of people now bring extra gear and make it available, but better you should exchange PMs with someone and make sure it will definitely be there. Plenty of time for that.
Snuffy -- any chance you might get over here too? That would be fine.
Tannywheeler, make darned sure you aren't underdressed, or we will find you frozen into a block of ice in the morning.... Just kidding, that only happens to people who get tossed into the pool....
Pauline, we are planning to try a camp called West River in 2006. It's in Maryland, on the -- surprise! -- West River. A lovely camp, all cabins are heated and have a central area where we can hold a workshop. Plus a good sized dining hall and a nature center. It has its quirks of course but it is very nice.
It's difficult to find a camp for the Getaway. It has to be big enough to hold us all. That let out dozens of very nice camps. And then, it has to be priced in a way that doesn't drive people away. Hard to find in a large camp. We'll give this one a try.
Well goodness, the FSGW MiniFest is Feb 5, and the Washington Folk Festival is June 4-5, and we usually don't get our minds set for the Getaway until after those two events. BTW For those who can make it to the D.C. area, the Washington Folk Festival in particular is a Wonderful Event, and of course there are always mudcatters who will give you a place to stay for the weekend. Y'all come.
