Andy mac said: "For those not in the know (Martin from Barton!), Middlewich is a delightful small town in Cheshire about 25 miles south of Manchester and the same distance north of Stoke-on-Trent. It's a doddle to find Jcn 18 of the M6 and turn left."

But by far the best way to get there is straight up the Trent and Mersey, through Harecastle, and down Heartbreak Hill.
