Husker - I have put Elixer mediums on my Santa Cruz 000, which was setup for lights. The Elixers feel smaller, though the guage is normal for mediums. The Elixers feel better on my Santa Cruz then they do on my Larrivee. I probably have some bad playing habits; I rest the neck in my palm and wrap my hand aroung it, I use my thumb a lot for the 6th strig. The long and short of this is that I use a lot of muscle, and leave a lot of meat on the strings! That is probably why I can't use phosphur; I leave too much oil and skin behind.

My Santa Cruz sounds great with the Elixers. The strings do mellow after a few days, though less so if you use Elixers.
