I tried Israeli "Maccabee" beer and some Palestinian brand this week, and a couple of brands in Rome last week. Can't say I really liked any of them, but they sure hit the spot after a hard day of sightseeing. Now I'm home in California, and the best beer I know of around here is from Chico, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale - it was mentioned in the first message. It's the nectar of the gods, I'll tell ya.
