Sonnet 21/11/03                                    DCCCLXI

I long to hold you in my arms, and feel
My lips touching your skin. Yet, should I speak
About desires, without learning how real
These dreams might be, and if you for touch seek?
I long to look into your eyes, and find
A view of heaven: Might I see a glow
To light my dreams, and give unto my mind
What of my angel I can hope to know?
I long to share your dreams, and know the source
Of what muse offers me. Dare I inquire
Of vision you might see, or think to force
My hopes upon one who my dreams inspire?
All I can find, in dream and hope and arms,
Is ghost of future chance to know your charms.



Ah well, off tomorrow to the beach for my 100th ( base seven) birthday.
